Starting another section now and hoping I've not hurried into it.  Poetry.  Poetry is my goal and reason I chose to work with this book.  I do think I've learned along the way so far and anticipate that this section will be no different in that respect.  

Each of the chapters has opened with a history of the genre.  Poetry has a lengthy history through many cultures.  What I discovered almost immediately is that it has probably changed more than any of the other areas.  Even drama and it's pretty old stuff, some of it.  Almost seems like poetry might be the oldest maybe because it came almost directly from the oral traditions.  But that's my opinion and I'm still a very inexperienced novice in that realm.  I hope to make novice poetry reader soon, though.

So, without further ado, off I go into the mists of time to Gilgamesh.
